Hindu families in Australia come from many regions and traditions, and the search for a match usually reflects that: language, community, family background and, for many, horoscope compatibility. Khandaan lets families describe what matters to them, and search a country-wide directory without giving up their privacy.

Some families look for a partner from the same community or language; others are open to a wider match and focus on values, education and career. Families who want it can also use Khandaan’s optional horoscope compatibility, which calculates the traditional 36-point guna match only when both families have opted in.
If horoscopes are not part of your tradition, they are never shown. Nothing about them appears unless both families choose it.
A Hindu match often moves from the families’ first meeting to a roka or sagai and then to the vivah, with relatives involved at every stage. Khandaan handles only the beginning: finding families worth meeting and making a respectful first introduction.
A parent, sibling or the candidate sets it up in a few minutes. No credit card.
Read profiles by city, age, education and occupation. Photos stay private.
Unlock unlimited introductions with one $79 payment (GST included), by PayID.
Full details and photos open only once the other family says yes.
Creating and listing a profile is free, with no credit card. To send introductions you pay $79 once, GST included, by PayID, and that unlocks unlimited introductions. There is no subscription. Matchmakers list for free.
Khandaan is built for families, not for individuals swiping on strangers. A parent or relative can create the profile, introductions go from one family to another, and photos stay private until both families agree to connect.
ID checks are optional. A member can send a photo of a government ID and a selfie, a Khandaan team member reviews them, and the photos are deleted once checked. Profiles that have passed carry a badge. It is a basic check, not a background check, so families should still make their own enquiries.
Yes. You can browse matchmakers who list on Khandaan, and those who have had an ID check carry a badge. Matchmakers list for free, and there are no extra fees for the families they work with.
